St. Stephen, King of Hungary

Dear Friends of Catholic Tradition,

St. Stephen, first King of Hungary, is an outstanding example of the proper cooperation of Church and State.  He ruled Hungary as a devout Christian and a strong monarch.  He worked to support the work of the Church in Eastern Europe at the turn of the second millennium.  As Our Lord required, he was in the world but not of the world.  He was a ruler but also a subject of the Church.

This global battle for the triumph of Christ the King continues in the early years of the third millennium.  Catholic Family News is committed to playing our part to advance the cause of Christ the King against the enemies of God and His Church.  In this letter I want to share two more important updates to our Apostolate.

First, we are pleased to announce our Premium Video Channel will launch on September 14, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.  www.locals.com).  For $6 a month (or $60 annually) you will receive:

  • Access to a video library covering topics from history to law to liturgy from such presenters as Brian McCall, Murray Rundus, Christopher Ferrara, and more!
  • An invitation to an extended version of our Weekly News Roundup with one exclusive story per week;
  • The Right to Participate in a monthly live Q&A session in which premium subscribers can ask questions of our hosts (your question and answer may be featured in a future edition of the paper);
  • The ability to watch news and other content that will be constantly updated;
  • Access to Recordings of future CFN conferences; and
  • With an annual subscription you will receive a free subscription to this newspaper (in the paper and e-edition versions in the United States and Canada or if you live outside of North America, e-Edition only)

To get started, unless you already have a Locals account, create a free account at locals (www.locals.com) , a platform for independent creators that will not censor content.  Then become a Supporter of Catholic Family News (https://www.locals.com/catholicfamilynews/feed).  If you are a current subscriber to this paper, we will be emailing you a promotion code to become a Locals Supporter at an introductory lower rate.

Secondly, we are pleased to announce The 2025 Catholic Family News Conference on the theme: “Father Denis Fahey and the Global Conflict: Christ’s Program for Order v. Satan’s Plan for Disorder.” The Conference will be held March 1-2 at the Westgate Vacation Villas Resort in Kissimmee, Florida.  Escape the winter cold and dreariness for the sunny shores of the State of Florida.  Perhaps plan a pre-Lent family vacation by arriving in Florida a few days early.  We will be announcing speakers and specific topics over the next few months.  For now save the date and plan to attend the first CFN conference since 2019.

Remember we also want to showcase original art by Catholics in this newspaper.  You can submit any compositions or photographs of artwork to catholicfamilynewsart@gmail.com and we will be happy to consider submissions.  We will prioritize submissions by Catholic schools that feature high quality works from young aspiring artists.

We place all these exciting developments into the hands of Our Lady of Fatima. Under her guidance may we contribute to the restoration of Christendom in the Third Millennium so that like King St. Stephen we can be on the threshold of a great Catholic enterprise.

In Christ the King,
