WATCH: Is Francis the True Pope? Hall and Gaspers Discuss

Yesterday, CFN’s Matt Gaspers joined Kennedy Hall to discuss the contents of Gaspers’ latest article series, “Is Francis the True Pope? Revisiting the Debate”. Part 1 of the series appears in the February 2024 edition of CFN, while Part 2 will appear in the March 2024 edition.

In Part 1 of his two-part series, Gaspers examines some common arguments of those who hold that Pope Benedict XVI did not validly resign the office of Supreme Pontiff. In Part 2 (available next month), he focuses on the fact that Pope Francis was peacefully and universally accepted as Benedict’s true successor by the Church, beginning with all the Cardinal-electors, thus confirming the validity of Francis’ election and establishing his pontificate as a dogmatic fact.
