JULY 2023 EDITION: Fatima and Our Lady’s Spiritual Weapons

July 2023 Edition Now Available — Preview HERE

Dear Friends of Catholic Tradition,

The month of July presents us with two important dates related to our Blessed Mother. On July 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fatima revealed the Great Secret to the three young seers. She showed them hell, “where the souls of poor sinners go,” and urged them to pray and do penance for sinners. She said she would return to ask for the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart. She warned of a greater war than the Great War then in progress, that “the Holy Father will have much to suffer,” and that “many nations will be annihilated.” She also imparted this important message of hope to the children: “In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”

After predicting that the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved in Portugal, Our Lady then revealed the third part of the Great Secret. Although she likely showed them the vision described in the document released by the Vatican in 2000, it is certain that the words of the Blessed Virgin explaining that vision have never been publicly released. Despite Our Lady insisting that these words needed to be revealed by 1960 at the latest, pope after pope has kept them secret.

Could they begin, as many have predicted, “after a wicked Council”? Perhaps so. What is certain is that we are living through whatever is described in that Secret. We cannot control the release of the text so long hidden, nor can we force the pope and bishops of the world to comply with the consecration request as required, but we must not forget the first part of the message which is directed to us. We must do penance and pray the Rosary. She is our only and last hope in these times of crisis.

The second date is intrinsically linked to this first date. Three days after the anniversary of this revelation of the Great Secret, we observe the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (July 16). Together with the Rosary, the Brown Scapular is the other weapon perfectly suited for our time. The Brown Scapular and Our Lady of Mount Carmel had their important place in the apparitions in Fatima. To survive this crisis of faith in the Church, we need to be protected under the mantle of Our Lady. We need to be clothed with her habit of Mount Carmel, which is what this small piece of fabric represents. It is a symbol of our being incorporated into the great order of Carmel founded by Our Lady herself. Rather than becoming discouraged or complaining about the crisis in the Church, let us renew our devotion to the Scapular and the Rosary. Let us be apostles to spread these weapons of our Immaculate Mother.

Our Lady of Fatima and her message have always been at the heart of our apostolate. We strive to regularly include content about Our Lady’s Fatima Message. We must inform people of the errors of our time, but we must also inform them of the remedies. Our Lady has given us lay people the key remedies of the Scapular and Rosary.

We are grateful for your continued support by subscribing to our monthly paper. This is our primary source of funding for all our various media endeavors. With the difficulties of COVID and a hacking of our computer system in 2021, our subscriptions have fallen quite low. To those who experienced difficulties renewing or getting your papers, we express our sincere apologies. We believe the damage to our systems has been repaired and we can now respond better to subscriptions. Please help us rebuild our base by subscribing, renewing, and purchasing gift subscriptions for family and friends.
