Pope Bergoglio and the “Mystical” Body of COVID-19

No Stranger to the Virus

As I write this article for Catholic Family News (April 19), my father, Joseph, age 96, is battling the effects of the Wuhan virus. His case is complicated by a nearly fatal case of dehydration because a bewildering assortment of ever-changing federal and state “regulations” have caused the veterans’ nursing facility in which he resides to be locked down totally since March 12, with no visits by family members allowed. By the time my sister and I were allowed a “compassionate visit” on the assumption that my father was about to become a victim of the virus, on April 17, he was nearly dead for lack of the supplemental water my sister would provide him every day before the “lockdown” but which the nursing staff, stretched too thin, were unable to supply.

My father was rushed to a nearby hospital with an admitting diagnosis of dehydration on top of the viral infection, for which he had been given hydroxychloroquine, zinc, vitamin C and an antibiotic. At age 96, my father may not survive. But had he died of dehydration at the outset of this crisis, he would have been chalked up as another “COVID-19 death” and added to the padded statistics which have been used to justify the panic narrative that the Democrat-media complex are psychopathically exploiting in the hope of burning down the entire United States economy via statewide lockdowns of normal activity in order to deny President Trump a second term.

The predictive “models”—including the Bill-Gates funded Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) model—have been exposed as wild guesses disguised as fake science. The American people are rising up against an absurd attempt to quarantine an entire nation to “limit the spread” of a flu-like illness whose mortality rate, even if it includes my own father, will turn out to be no higher than that for influenza, as even Fake News CNN has finally admitted. Yet the American and globalist left remain united in a veritable cult of the virus, which they almost gleefully preach as the gateway to a “post-COVID world” in which all their hellish designs will finally be realized.

NWO à la Bergoglio

And at this point in the Bergoglian pontificate, it should come as no surprise that a leftist Pope is likewise seizing upon the virus as a change-agent for the globalist New World Order (NWO) he has been promoting relentlessly since the calamity of his election. On that score recall Bergoglio’s promotion of the “Global Educational Pact,” which he says “will result in men and women who are open, responsible, prepared to listen, dialogue and reflect with others, and capable of weaving relationships with families, between generations, and with civil society, and thus to create a new humanism.”

Then, of course, there is Bergoglio’s infamous “Document on Human Fraternity and World Peace for Living Together,” which he signed with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar in Abu Dhabi last February following his speech to the “Global Conference on Human Fraternity.” Therein we read the following objectively heretical (and never really retracted) statement:

“The pluralism and the diversity of religions, color, sex, race, and language are willed by God in His wisdom, through which He created human beings. This divine wisdom is the source from which the right to freedom of belief and the freedom to be different derives.” (Emphasis added)

Bergoglio’s Vatican is participating in a “Higher Committee” to implement the Abu Dhabi Statement. The Statement’s utopian notion of global religious harmony regardless of religion, the essence of the Masonic worldview, is to be manifested in the Abrahamic Family House, to be completed by 2022 on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. There “a church, mosque, and synagogue will share a collective space for the first time, serving as a community for inter-religious dialogue and exchange, and nurturing the values of peaceful co-existence and acceptance among different beliefs, nationalities and cultures…. The mosque will be orientated toward the Kaaba in Makkah, the church’s altar will point east towards the sun, and the synagogue’s podium and Torah will face Jerusalem.” Worse, according to Cardinal Ayuso Guixot, the Vatican’s participant in the project, the Higher Committee “was working to broaden the number of faiths that could eventually be included.”

On Easter Sunday, Bergoglio joined the globalist left in exploiting the Wuhan virus for globalist political ends. On that holiest of holy days, incredibly enough, the Vicar of Christ — a title Francis has demoted to a mere “historical title” — acted instead as the Vicar of the Virus as world-changing event. In a letter addressed to “popular movements”, Bergoglio made no reference whatsoever to the Risen Christ but rather recited a litany of demagogic catch-phrases scarcely distinguishable from the ranting of leftist politicians in South America (emphasis added throughout):

  • “If the struggle against COVID-19 is a war, then you are truly an invisible army… [Y]ou are social poets because, from the forgotten peripheries where you live, you create admirable solutions for the most pressing problems afflicting the marginalized.”
  • “… [Y]ou are truly invisible to the system…”
  • Market solutions do not reach the peripheries, and State protection is hardly visible there.”
  • “… [Y]ou try to move beyond philanthropy or when, instead of resigning and hoping to catch some crumbs that fall from the table of economic power, you claim your rights.”
  • “You often feel rage and powerlessness at the sight of persistent inequalities and when any excuse at all is sufficient for maintaining those privileges…”
  • “I think of all the people, especially women, who multiply loaves of bread in soup kitchens…. I think of the sick, I think of the elderly. They never appear in the news, nor do small farmers and their families who work hard to produce healthy food without destroying nature, without hoarding, without exploiting people’s needs…”
  • “How difficult it is to stay at home for those who live in tiny, ramshackle dwellings, or for the homeless! How difficult it is for migrants…”
  • “I know that you have been excluded from the benefits of globalization. You do not enjoy the superficial pleasures that anesthetize so many consciences, yet you always suffer from the harm they produce.”
  • “…the lockdowns are becoming unbearable. This may be the time to consider a universal basic wage… It would ensure and concretely achieve the ideal, at once so human and so Christian, of no worker without rights.”
  • “Moreover, I urge you to reflect on ‘life after the pandemic’… I want all of us to think about the project of integral human development…”
  • “I hope that this time of danger will… shake our sleepy consciences and allow a humanist and ecological conversion that puts an end to the idolatry of money and places human life and dignity at the center.”
  • “Our civilization — so competitive, so individualistic, with its frenetic rhythms of production and consumption, its extravagant luxuries, its disproportionate profits for just a few — needs to downshift, take stock, and renew itself.”

So, on Easter Sunday, the Universal Shepherd called for a “universal basic wage” — a key plank in the world socialist platform — while promoting resentment toward the rich, class warfare and “a humanist and ecological conversion.”

Bergoglio concluded this self-parody of leftist cant by slamming down his rhetorical wooden mallet: “You are the indispensable builders of this change that can no longer be put off.” This demagogic ranting against the rich and their luxuries, from someone who lives in luxury himself, bears no resemblance to the great body of the Church’s sober and balanced social teaching, which does indeed condemn the excesses of capitalism and consumerism but just as firmly rejects socialism as an answer to the problems of commutative (person-to-person) and distributive (social) justice in matters economic.

Globalism to the Rescue

The exploitation of a viral pandemic to promote “change” approved by the globalist Left was so utterly shameless that Bergoglio emitted this outburst on Easter Sunday. And not even in the concluding paragraph of this appalling missive could he bring himself to mention Christ: “I want to ask God our Father to bless you, to fill you with his love, and to defend you on this path, giving you the strength that keeps us standing tall and that never disappoints: hope….”

Hope in what? Hope in globalism, of course. That hopes requires, as Bergoglio has made clear more than once, opposition to the greatest perceived impediment to the final triumph of globalism: Donald J. Trump, who unaccountably became President of the United States and is now the subject of an attempt to exploit fear of a virus to wreck a nation and destroy him politically.

If that claim seems extravagant, consider the stunning admissions of Jeffrey Sachs, the radical Left “economist” who places Trump at the bullseye of the globalists’ target. Sachs, observes the redoubtable Edward Pentin, “has used the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences to launch a scathing attack on the Trump administration, accusing it of threatening multilateralism by bullying other nations and saying President Trump’s possible re-election in November would be ‘absolutely dangerous.’” Sachs, writes Pentin, “told delegates at the Vatican conference on fostering new economic forms of solidarity that the Trump administration is operating with ‘complete lawlessness,’ blocking ‘every multilateral initiative’ since 2017” — including the disastrous Paris Accord on “climate change” from which Trump had the audacity to withdraw the United States, the document having no legally binding effect in the first place.

Pentin continues: “To the visible delight of Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, who was seated next to him, Sachs said multilateralism is not under threat per se in most of the world, but it is ‘under threat because of the United States.’”  That is, Sachs sees Trump as the last remaining impediment to the “change that can no longer be put off,” as Bergoglio put it in his Easter Sunday leftist rant.  To quote Sachs: “This is truly what we are facing. I’m sorry to say it, it’s my country and I’m not very happy to say it, but it’s an imperial power in decline and it’s a dangerous country right now and it will be absolutely dangerous if Trump wins re-election.”

Let the video of Sachs’ appearance alongside a clearly delighted Sorondo confirm Pentin’s reporting. There can be no reasonable doubt that Sachs, Sorondo, and Bergoglio are of one mind on the necessity of Trump’s removal as an obstacle to “multilateralism” under a one-world government. And it is precisely a one-world government that Bergoglio advocates, any tolerated national particularities of sovereignty aside. On this point, he could not be more emphatic. During the in-flight press conference on his return from South Africa, for example, Bergoglio falsely depicted Catholic social teaching as requiring obedience to the dictates of the United Nations, which in fact has no power whatsoever to compel the obedience of nations or individuals:

“I would like to repeat what the Doctrine of the Church says about this: When we acknowledge international organisations and we recognise their capacity to give judgment, on a global scale – for example the international tribunal in The Hague, or the United Nations. If we consider ourselves humanity, when they make statements, our duty is to obey. It is true that not all things that appear just for the whole of humanity will also be so for our pockets, but we must obey international institutions. That is why the United Nations were created.” (Emphasis added)

In the April 11, 2020 edition of “From the Editor’s Desk”, The Remnant’s Michael Matt brilliantly synthesized what LifeSiteNews co-founder and managing director Steve Jalsevac describes as the tight links between “Jeffrey Sachs, globalist guru and close associate of Bill Gates, UN’s Ban Ki Moon and George Soros, [and] the Vatican’s Communist China admirer Archbishop Sorondo.” In the video, to quote Jalsevac, what we see is “equal to segments in James Bond or Mission Impossible movies with their power-mad villains seeking to take over the world. Only this is not fiction. Watch to see what I mean starting at 26:22 in the video.”

In sum, we have to confront the reality of our situation: We have a globalist Pope who closes the churches in Rome but calls for open borders in the midst of a pandemic. To quote Antonio Socci (my translation): “Pope Bergoglio asks for the reopening, not of the churches but of ports for immigrants, and he does so by writing to Luca Casarini.” The Pope’s letter to Casarini demonstrates how much of a globalist Bergoglio is. Casarini, portrayed by the Leftist press in Italy as a “lifeguard” who saves “migrants” in the Mediterranean, is actually “an ultra-left militant who is being investigated for aiding illegal immigration” with the help of human traffickers who literally lure people to their deaths by drowning in the Mediterranean. As Casarini boasted, the Pope told him in the letter that “I am close to you and your companions.” Thus does Francis laud a brazen violator of immigration law at the very moment even EU nations have closed their borders in a vain effort to prevent spread of the Wuhan virus, which can no more be contained than the common flu.

The headline at LifeSiteNews (article cited above) poses the question to which the answer should by now be obvious: “Are globalists using coronavirus crisis as battering ram to destroy, remake world order?” But the answer to a related question should now be just as obvious: Is this Pope using the coronavirus crisis as a battering ram to destroy and remake the world order via “change that can longer be put off”?

Rendering Unto Caesar More Than His Due

Are we not witnessing the very Vicar of Christ in the act of assisting the powers that be in submitting the Holy Catholic Church to the worldwide domination of Caesar, giving Caesar not only what is Caesar’s but also what is God’s? Is this not exactly what the Pope is doing when he issues a missive full of leftist cant on Easter Sunday while closing the churches of Rome to the faithful, for the first time since their erection, in fear of a virus that civil authorities everywhere are exploiting as the pretext for pop-up dictatorships Bergoglio praises as “irritating” to some but necessary for “the common good”?

And has not this Pope led the whole Church into an absolutely unparalleled worldwide retreat as bishops in every nation, imitating his example, close their churches by government decree while “essential businesses” remain open? As my learned colleague Dr. John Rao has just written to me:

“I woke up in the middle of the night with the full awareness of the ecclesiastical nightmare finally hitting me. With the acceptance of the argument that the Roman Catholic Church did not provide an essential service, the Pope and the Episcopacy have voluntarily done more to rid the world of religion than the French and Russian Revolutions ever did. A nasty flu and a medical dictatorship have secularized the globe more effectively than the Reign of Terror. How can anyone take the claim that the Church should teach people seriously after its own authorities have proclaimed it superfluous; less important than laundromats to the well-being of the population?”

Conclusion: The Fatima Connection

Our Lady of Fatima warned the faithful that without the consecration of Russia, Russia’s errors would spread throughout the world. And, indeed, they did — first of all to China, from whence the Wuhan virus has likewise spread throughout the world. But now that virus itself has been made the vehicle for an even deeper penetration of Russia’s errors into the very tissue of a body politic reduced to abject fear by demagogues who have erected a police state overnight in nation after nation. And in America, they psychopathically labor to burn down a nation and destroy the temporal goods of millions of people. Why? Simply in order to topple a President who, for all his faults, is, incredibly enough, the single biggest obstacle to the globalist empire of abortion, contraception, sexual perversion, and socialism under a world government, all in the name of a devilish utopianism.

The dire prophesy of Pope St. Pius X in the context of the utopian French Sillon movement is being fulfilled before our eyes:

“But stranger still, alarming and saddening at the same time, are the audacity and frivolity of men who call themselves Catholics and dream of … establishing on earth, over and beyond the pale of the Catholic Church, ‘the reign of love and justice’ with workers coming from everywhere, of all religions and of no religion, with or without beliefs, so long as they forego what might divide them….

What are they going to produce? What is to come of this collaboration? … It will be a tumultuous agitation, sterile for the end proposed, but which will benefit the less Utopian exploiters of the people. Yes, we can truly say that the Sillon, its eyes fixed on a chimera, brings Socialism in its train…. a miserable affluent of the great movement of apostasy being organized in every country for the establishment of a One-World Church, which shall have neither dogmas, nor hierarchy, neither discipline for the mind, nor curb for the passions, and which, under the pretext of freedom and human dignity, would bring back… the reign of legalized cunning and force, and the oppression of the weak, and of all those who toil and suffer.” (1910 Letter to the French Episcopacy, Notre Charge Apostolique)

But not even St. Pius X could have foreseen that one of his own successors would be promoting the ruinous notions of “Catholic” utopianism, much less that a Pope would allow a frankly secular utopianism literally to take the place of the proclamation of the Gospel and the conversion of every nation as Our Lord commanded in His divine commission to the Church (cf. Matt. 28:18-20). And who could have foreseen that the Mystical Body of Christ would be subsumed by a “Mystical” Body of the Virus as harbinger of a “post-COVID world” that “brings Socialism in its train”?

We the faithful can do nothing but bear the brunt of this uncanny pontificate, while opposing its errors, until God deigns to give the Church a new earthly head. The next Pope, one must hope and pray, will be the one who finally executes Heaven’s command that Russia be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary – a consecration which remains undone, as Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò chose to emphasize in his recent interview with The Remnant’s Michael Matt – so that the diabolical disorientation we now witness, in both Church and State, will end in the midst of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. Then the domination of the “the rulers of the world of this darkness” (Eph. 6:13), like the transient virus they now exploit, will pass away until that time when the “man of sin, the son of perdition” (2 Thess. 2:3) appears and the history of this fallen world reaches its end.
