4D Ultrasound Image of Abby Johnson’s Baby Broadcast in Time Square New York

In response to New York state legalizing abortion up until the moment of birth, Focus on the Family organized the first ever “Alive from New York” event held in Times Square, New York City (May 4, 2019). A highlight of the event, which according to organizers drew over 10,000 attendees, was a big-screen broadcast of a third trimester baby, including a beating heart. It was later revealed that the baby was that of Abby Johnson, who eventually joined Ashley Bratcher, the actress who played Johnson in the film, onstage at the event.

The May 2019 edition of Catholic Family News contains a review of the incredible film Unplanned. The movie, which had to be made in secret, tells the story of Abby Johnson’s journey from being a top Planned Parenthood clinic director to a pro-life warrior.
